Voice Interface Design Virtual Internship
In this 12-week virtual internship, students will learn the fundamentals of voice interface design for smart speakers, digital assistants, and conversational interfaces. They will gain hands-on experience in designing and prototyping voice-based user experiences, from ideation to high-fidelity mockups. Upon completion, students will have a strong portfolio of voice interface design projects and be equipped with the skills to pursue careers in voice UI/UX design, conversational design, and product design for voice-enabled technologies.

Analyze Existing Voice Interfaces
IntermediateStudents will research and analyze the user experience of various voice-based applications, identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct User Interviews
IntermediateStudents will plan and conduct user interviews to gather insights about the target audience for a voice-based application.
Create User Personas
IntermediateStudents will use the insights from the user interviews to create 2-3 user personas that represent the target audience for a voice-based application.
Ideate Voice Interface Concepts
IntermediateStudents will use ideation techniques to generate and refine ideas for voice-based user experiences.
Prototype a Voice Interface
IntermediateStudents will create a high-fidelity prototype of a voice-based user experience using industry-standard tools.
Create a Voice Interface Design Portfolio
IntermediateStudents will compile their voice interface design projects into a comprehensive portfolio, showcasing their work and design process.
Practice Portfolio Presentation
IntermediateStudents will practice presenting their voice interface design portfolio and receive feedback to prepare for job interviews.
