Identity and Access Management (IAM) Security Virtual Internship
In this 12-week virtual internship, students will learn to implement robust identity and access management (IAM) controls, manage user identities and privileges, and secure authentication and authorization mechanisms. They will gain hands-on experience in configuring and managing IAM solutions, implementing multi-factor authentication, and enforcing the principle of least privilege. By the end of the internship, students will be equipped with the skills to design and deploy secure IAM systems that protect organizations from unauthorized access and data breaches.
Track Overview
Tasks & Milestones
IAM Fundamentals
IntermediateIn this task, students will explore the core concepts of IAM, including user identities, authentication methods, and access control models.
User Provisioning and Access Control
IntermediateIn this task, students will configure an IAM solution to manage user identities and access privileges.
Privileged Access Management
IntermediateIn this task, students will learn how to implement privileged access management (PAM) to secure high-risk accounts and minimize the attack surface.
Implementing Multi-Factor Authentication
IntermediateIn this task, students will configure a multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution to enhance the security of user accounts.
Enforcing Authorization Policies
IntermediateIn this task, students will learn how to implement and enforce authorization policies to control access to resources.
IAM Logging and Monitoring
IntermediateIn this task, students will configure logging and monitoring mechanisms to detect and respond to security incidents within the IAM system.
